First Congregational Church is easy to find, right in the center of Holden at the intersections of routes 122A
& 31. We share a parking lot with the Town Hall that is accessed (North on 122A) just after the traffic light at
the intersection of 122A and 31.
From Northwest MA:
- Route 2, exit #22 (Gardner)
- Take Route 68 South (20 Miles) to dead end at Route 122A
- Turn left (2 miles) to church at intersection
with Route 31
From Northeast MA:
- US Route 495, exit #29, Route
2 West (20 miles)
- Exit #33 US Route 190 South
- 190 South to exit #5, turn right on
route 140 North
- 300 yards at traffic light turn left (2 miles) to dead end
- Turn right
on Manning St. (3 miles) to dead end
- Turn left on Route 31 to town center (2 miles) to Route 122A
- Church is on your right, parking entrance around corner on 122A
From South MA and CT:
- US Route 395 becomes US Route 290
- US Route 290 east (8 miles)
- US Route 190 North
(Exit #19)
- North on 190 to exit #2 (Ararat St.)
- Turn left at first light
- Turn left at "T" then immediately right across railroad tracks
- Turn left at full traffic light
(not blinking), Chaffin Congregational on left
- Bear right at traffic light, 122A (by State Police
barracks)
- At intersection of Route 122A and Route 31(First Congregational Church is on right across instersection) go
through light and take first right into parking lot.
From Southwest MA and CT:
- US 84 East exit #3 on to Route 20 East (Sturbridge)
- Route 20 (2 miles) exit left on to Route 49 North
- Dead end at Route 9 and turn right (East) to Spencer (2 miles)
- Turn left on to Route
31 North (20 miles) to Holden
- Turn left on to Route 122A - church parking is behind town hall on your
immediate right
