Coordinator of Children's Ministry |
I am a long time resident of Holden and member of the congregation. I attended this church as
a child and was both confirmed and married here. I am blessed with a wonderful husband and
two children ages 10 and 12.
I graduated from Nichols College with my Bachelor of Science in Business
Administration and a specialization in marketing. I had a long career in the retail industry working for Marshalls
and TJX Corporation. After having my children, I realized my family was most important to me and I decided to become
a "stay at home Mom". I provided daycare for family and friends for many years.
Coming
to church as a family helped me realize the importance of providing our children with a solid Christian education laying the
ground work for a life rich in Christian faith. Three years ago, I accepted the position of Coordinator of Children's
Ministry. God called me to help grow the future generation of faithful members.
As Coordinator of Children's
Ministry, I organize all Sunday School programs for children ages birth through Middle School. This includes Sunday
School and special events such as the Advent Workshop, Lent Workshop, Children's Sunday, and Summer Sunday School
program.
In the fall of 2006, I also became lead teacher in our Nursery School program under the direction of Karen
Buthray.
