General Rules: rev 6/2/09
o
WE are a Church League, empathizing a fun family event.
o
All games will begin with a prayer led by the home team.
o No bunting, stealing, walks, or leaving
base until pitched ball passes Home plate.
o No over-running 2nd or 3rd bases. Sliding allowed
ONLY to avoid collisions.
o Modified slow pitch
(at no time may the pitch be
more than 8 feet above the ground.)
o Each game will be seven innings.
o The home team will be responsible for supplying bases and providing
game balls. Low velocity (Ref.
Factor, blue dot or equivalent) Balls only.
o Catcher is responsible for calling Foul Balls.
o "Mercy Rule" if a team is tied or ahead when it comes to bat, no more
than
ten players will be allowed to bat. If a team is behind when it comes
to bat, it will be allowed to continue
batting until it is ahead by as many runs
as it was behind or has three outs, whichever occurs first.
o Up to ten (10) players allow in the field
Free substitution is allowed
No restriction on the number in the batting order
o Recommended minimum age requirement
is 16 years. (discrete exceptions permitted).

Ground Ball over "Gray Monster" - Grd Rule Double
Jefferson School: Rt. Field Bushes: Grd Rule Double
Left Field Trees (Fly ball) NO PLAY, Repeat Batting
New Others: On field agreement by the two teams- as needed.
o Wood bat usage is suggested.
o Strike outs are discretionary (player specific).
o Male/Female Parity:
It is recommended that each opposing team field complementary
players. An all male team (vs a mixed team)
may want to field one less player, or trade.
